Always meet other person with feeling that he/she has some great news!

Several days ago I was hurrying up to my parents’ house. I was happy since I just got the certificate confirming gaining the next kyu (grade) in Aikido. I was looking forward (and was visualizing ;)) the moment when mom or dad would open the door and I would say something like “Look what I have!”, giving them my certificate!

With these thoughts and great mood, I rang the bell.
Dad opened the door, however, since he was brushing his teeth, he greeted me promptly and hurried up to finish the teeth brushing.
Mom has some urgent affair regarding her job, so she couldn’t leave her PC at the moment.
So, I just took my certificate and silently put it to the table box.

At the same moment I remembered how many times I had, meeting my mom or dad or friend with sad face, burking ‘Hi’ and hurrying back
to my room to do “something important”. Maybe they also wanted to say something important for me, share some great news. However, I just turned back…

At the same moment I made an important life lesson,- I decided always meet any person with the feeling that he or she has some great
news!

Thanks mom and dad for this great life lesson!
