Do you want to lose Weight in an Easy Way?

I get a lot of patients every day who want to lose weight. Today, people have become more conscious about their looks, especially when it comes to their fitness and health related factors. Weight loss is one of the important things that people should think on. When you have fat and when you want to reduce fat, then you can do that by following some important steps.

However, there are two ways to lose weight. One is intentional and the other is unintentional weight losing methods. Unintentional means when a person loses weight when he or she does not want, it happens naturally, even when a person eats.

I tell my patients every time, “There are many factors involved in the unintentional weight loss for losing weight. This could also be termed as the unwanted weight loss where a person may lose fat or lose weight. Some of the factors involve depression, hypertension, diseases, etc. On the other hand, intentional weight loss means when a person loses weight in order to stay fit.

Intentional weight loss could be further defined as ‘the effort which takes place with the interest of losing body weight, in order to improve one’s physical appearance to look attractive, to improve health in a positive way for staying fit”.

People who are obese or fat have great risks of acquiring many diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, etc. How to lose weight is one of the important factors that people should focus on. There are many ways that fat people can reduce their fat. Some ways involve the therapeutic methods where people undergo various therapeutic stages.

This also helps in maintaining good health besides losing weight. High blood pressure and strokes are also common diseases where fat people are at high risk. Osteoarthritis is one of the common diseases amongst the obese people.

I lost about 30lbs in 6 months... it brought my weight in line with the BMI... that was 7 years ago. Since then, my weight has not varied more than 5lbs.

Here's how you do it: Change your diet... this is not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Lifestyle changes can be very difficult but if you can commit to it, this is VERY easy. I recently read that exercise is great for you and essential but it has limited abilities to help lose weight. Many people who start exercising find that they become hungry and eat more. It's very important to read labels - you'll be amazed at how many calories are in very basic foods. The key to losing weight is to eat healthy foods and less calories.

Changing you diet can take some getting use to but as I tell my friends - Grow up and get over it. When I try to eat some of the suff I use to, like soda or fried food - it makes me feel sick.

First get the magazine Men's or Women's Health - great magazine with many fantastic suggestions. Most current thought on losing weight suggests a few things: (1) Eat 5 small meals a day ... or 3 small meals and 2 snacks. (2) Change the size of your plate - we eat meals off of salad plates, (3) A meal should consist of Protein (meat - preferably chicken, turkey, or fish) no bigger than your palm - vegtables preferably leafy greens like broccoli - and brown rice or wheat pasta (I only eat a very small amount of this)... if you can have just meat and vegtables - that's the best. (4) Eliminate things like bread, white rice, potatoes, soda (drink only water), and anything with sugar. (5) Absolutely without question - eat breakfast - it should be your biggest meal. Studies have found that most obese people do not eat breakfast. A great breakfast could include oatmeal ... I eat oatmeal almost every day (never did until the last 7 years) .. I add blueberries, strawberries, pinapple, and nuts. It's very important to eat protein with every meal (it helps reduce your hunger)... nuts are a good source... mix it all together and it tastes like a fruit pie - it's Great! Some people also suggest you eat turkey bacon or eggs - which are also excellent. (6) For lunch, I typically have a smoothy with Whey (protein)... it's amazingly filling... or I'll have a chicken salad or soup and salad with salmon. Be careful of the salad dressing - that's where a lot of calories come from. Try to avoid those sandwitches with lots of bread... or remove one of the pieces of bread... but make sure it's whole wheat - white bread is terrible for you... and only drink water (you should drink at least 8 glasses a day - it also reduces your hunger. (7) For dinner, a piece of chicken, turkey, fish - along with a vegtable... forget the bread or potatoe or white rice... brown rice is fine or cous-cous. There are many grains out there that we've found taste great. You can get pasta in all kinds of grains that are much better than bleached white wheat - try different ones... however, keep it to a minimum. (8) For snacks, try some of the protein bars - but read the labels... you want a minimum of saturated fats... and more protein. The protein will keep your hunger at bay - you'll feel full longer. I also love dark chocolate... but try to eat a small amount and with a high % of cocoa... 72%+. When you get a snack, only take a small amount - don't take the whole bag to the couch... use portion control - you'll be amazed that you will be satisfied with a handful... nuts are great but in small quantities - handful... nuts have a lot of calories. Try eating fruit like apples with peanut butter (protein) or other fruits - a very important source of carbs and fiber. Try to eliminate sugar from your diet - for me, this is the toughest. (9) Start exercising ... walking... just being active... it does burn calories but don't get the mind set where you think, "I can now eat that chocolate cake because I walked a mile today." Try to be active everyday - it really helps. I hope this helps... but definitely check out www.menshealth.com

ITA, being healthy isn't about doing it the easiest way or the fastest way, it's about a lifestyle change. Exercise and diet are the key. I've found it through dedication and never been happier! I love doing P90X and 10 Minute Workouts! Huge change in my body, along with other steps taken I've never felt better!
