“Life full of energy” or “The healthy days and the happy days”

Maybe for the last year I have been moving to the healthy food diet. When doing so, I had noticed one interesting fact.

When controlling myself very toughly, eating primarily food and vegetables and not allowing any sweeties, I felt myself very strong for a couple of days, maybe week. But then I got exhausted, losing the sense of life and willingness to keep on moving.

The similar feelings I experienced when I used to eat everything I wanted. For the first days I was happy: “Sweet dream! I can eat as much chocolate and candies I want”. But at the end I got exhausted as well.
I feel myself like a giant chocolate man, overloaded with sugar with huge lollipop instead of a head.

Maybe the secret, I thought then, is to keep the balance. Keep the firm diet for several days and letting myself something sweet for the rest of week.

With this thought in mind I spent the last week. For Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I was keeping the strict diet consisting of many fruits, vegetables and some fish.
At Thursday, besides the healthy food, I let myself the bar of chocolate.
And at Friday to Sunday I let myself eating as much sweeties as I wished. You may think that I was eating kilos of cakes and sweets. No, usually one chocolate bar and several cookies was enough for me for the day (again so, it is besides the fruits and vegetables).

The weekend has passed. Today is the Monday and I don’t want eating anything sweet at all!

The key is that I switch to healthy days without any effort! I feel that it’s the natural flow of my body and soul. Body just wants to clean up itself with fruits and vegetables after eating doughnuts and candies.

These first weekly days I called “The Healthy Days” because I feel myself extremely healthy eating nuts, apples and greens.

The second part of the week I call the “The Happy Days” because I can now allow myself everything I want!

What is interesting, for the whole the past week I felt myself energized and alive, full of joy and optimism. The same way I feel myself this week.

After I did this experiment on myself, I started noticing interesting things in others.

At the job I work with one guy who eats nothing but carrots, bananas and apples. He drinks green tea and only sometimes (very rarely) enjoys a chocolate bar. I don’t know whether it’s 100% related to his nutrition, but he uses to forget a lot. The funniest occasion was when he came one Monday to the office, though he had to be in a plane having a business trip to Belgium :)))

Another sample is other guy at my job who weights probably 110 or 120 kilos. His favorite phrase is “Why I want to sleep so much?!” And the most amusing incident was when he fell asleep right in the middle of the phone meeting with his customer!

It seems to me, everything in this world tends to be in a balance. Neither too thin nor too fat man will feel himself highly energetic because it is not the natural state of a human.

The balance principle doesn’t work solely in nutrition. Let’s take politics as example. Conservators follow Laborites in United Kingdom. Democrats follow Republicans in U.S.
Or let’s take our life, in which joy follows sadness or the Earth where the day follows night!

Everything follows everything and this flow makes the world balanced and keeps it moving and evolving.

So, the lesson I made for myself is the following. To keep myself energetic, I have to change some inner states with opposite from time to time. For instance, I change sweet food for healthy food, thus keeping the overall balance in my nutrition.

Now, do you live your life in balanced way? Is it easy for you?
