The Power of Thanks

 Word…Words…!!!
Words are really very powerful thing! And I’m sure that every once regretted, regret or will regret for the words said! And nowadays we are talking hundreds, thousands words a day, but of course it’s normal! Because we are all people and ability to speak powerful words given to us by nature!
But unfortunately, a lot of us forget or just do not want to remember one basic thing – THINK BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING! Think…at least a little bit, sometimes…before you say some word, not to mention about saying the number of powerful words!
But I can continue talking about words, their strength and power forever! So I would like to talk about two simple, but so familiar words like –THANK YOU!
I think that “Thank you” isn’t just something that comes with “Have a nice day!”
It’s a sincere sign that something nice has occurred. It’s not just an acknowledgement that you’ve been positively affected by something, but a chance to return positive emotions back to the giver.
It’s a way to make their day too.
And sometimes it’s not important how you say it, but that you say it, that changes everything. Gratitude has the power to bind and to build… and if you’ve ever had someone actually thank you, you’ve felt its power.

Thanks Changes Others
Here's a fun experiment. Take the time to stop someone you love today and tell him or her how much you honestly appreciate them. Now this does not have to be some soap-opera moment with hot, romantic glances and swelling violins. Although you can do that if you like.
Simply take time to think about what the person you choose means to you. What impact do they have on your life? How do they make your world richer by simply being there for you? Once you have find it out, take a moment to tell them sincerely how you feel and thank them for their contribution. Now watch their eyes as you tell them.

Thanks Changes the World
Once you take the time to sincerely thank that special person in your life, you will have changed the world for the better. Now that person will take those good feelings and probably pass them on to others. Think of the impact you could have on the world if you simply took the time once a day to single out a special someone and show that sincere appreciation. What if that person caught the "Thanks virus" from you and passed it on to just one other. Now what would happen if only one person a day began to do this? Pie in the sky? Far from it.

And when is the best time to say “thank you”?

-Right after someone does something that you appreciate
-When you remember that you forget to tell them
-On special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas
-When you feel like surprising someone special
-Every chance you get

Ways to say thank you…
-A really thoughtful gift, like a book you know they wanted to read or their favorite flower or candy
-A card sent in the mail (really fun if you live with them)
-Cook a meal, give a back rub or some other unexpected nice gesture
-Just say “thank you” and mean it

Who you should be thankful to?
-Someone who did something nice for you
-Someone you rely on
-Someone you love
-Someone who needs to feel appreciated
-Everyone else
-What to do when someone thanks you…
